ABOUT THE SESSIONS
Each block takes inspiration from a variety of artists and mediums. They are as varied as possible enabling the children to explore different ways of working from painting, to sculpture, to collage and more.
HERE’S A LOOK AT WHAT WE’LL BE GETTING UP TO…
02/06 - Minecraft pixel painting - we’ll have fun creating our very own pixel art canvas inspired by French street artist Invader!
09/06 - Phototastic wall hangings - we’ll make colourful hanging photo holders to give to someone special on Father’s Day! If you’d like to, send me 1-2 photos before the workshop and we can add them to your wall hanging
16/06 - Lost Island Architects - Get ready to design your very own lost island, what would you have on your desert island? We’re going to take inspo from the Iggy Peck architecture book!
23/06 - Giant Frida Portraits - We’ll roll out paper on the floor and draw big colourful illustrations of ourselves with a Frida Kahlo twist!
30/06 - Summer Art Party - We’re finishing off the summer block with a special tie dye session. We’ll design and dye caps to wear over the summer. Plus a few art party extras thrown in!
DURING THE SESSIONS
You’re welcome to join in with the children or sit back and relax. For any children 4 and under we ask that a grown up sits with them during the session. Younger siblings are welcome to play while the session takes place.
